Is Sora shutting down?

Yes. OpenAI closed the Sora app and website on 26 April 2026, and the Sora 2 API, including every sora-2 and sora-2-pro alias and snapshot, is removed on 24 September 2026. OpenAI announced this on 24 March 2026 and its deprecation table lists no recommended replacement model.
